every night in summer, i have my window that is right beside my bed opened. when i look out of the window, i see the street which is a bit more far away since we have a driveway in front of our house. one night, between 3 and 4am, i got woken up by really loud screams. i first thought that those screams might have been just cats who are mating. but then i realized, that those screams were more similiar to a womans scream. they also always suddenly stopped, only then to scream even louder. at first it sounded like the screams where coming from the street, till they started getting louder and louder until it genuinely sounded like those screams were coming from our driveway. i tried to look out of the window, hoping i would just see some cats playing around, only then to see something bigger actually moving in the dark. because of the darkness, i could not recognize if it was actually a human, but the posture and the size of that thing were definetly similiar to a human. the screaming finally stopped after 1 minute. i got so scared that i closed my window and wasn´t able to fall asleep for the rest of the night. on the next day, i asked my brother if he heard anything at night, but he didn´t. i´m also pretty sure that i didn´t dream. i´m still sometimes thinking about what that scream might have been. since that night, i always leave my window closed.
